Packaging, without leaving the chat
Connect Packaroo to Claude, ChatGPT or Claude Code and ask for packaging the way you would ask a person: real artwork sizes, print templates, a 3D preview you can spin in the conversation, and designs saved straight to your dashboard. Free with your Packaroo account.
You need a Packaroo account first. Sign up free.
Claude (web or desktop)
- 1Open Claude and go to Settings, then Connectors.
- 2Press Add custom connector. On some versions this sits under “Browse connectors”.
- 3Name it Packaroo and paste this address:
https://app.packaroo.design/api/mcp - 4Press Connect, and sign in to Packaroo if you are asked. Sign-in happens on app.packaroo.design, so you know it is us.
- 5Press Allow on the Packaroo page that appears. It tells you exactly what the connection covers.
That is it. Start a new chat and ask for packaging.
ChatGPT
Same Packaroo, same account. ChatGPT calls these apps, and a custom one needs developer mode.
- 1Open Settings, then Apps and connectors, and turn on Developer mode.
- 2Press Create, and paste the same address:
https://app.packaroo.design/api/mcp - 3Choose OAuth for sign-in, then connect and sign in to Packaroo.
- 4Press Allow on the Packaroo page.
If the 3D preview does not appear, the reply always includes a link that opens the same design in Packaroo.
Claude Code, in a terminal
For developers, or anyone whose artwork lives in a folder rather than a chat window.
- 1Add Packaroo with one command:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user packaroo https://app.packaroo.design/api/mcp - 2Run
/mcpand choose packaroo. - 3Press Authenticate. Your browser opens to sign in and allow, exactly as for Claude.
- 4Back in the terminal it reconnects on its own. Try: “upload ./logo.png to Packaroo and put it on a 330ml can”.
Try these first
- “What size should my artwork be for a 12oz paper cup?”
- “Show me a 12oz paper cup in 3D.”
- “Send me the template for a medium paper bag.”
- “Save that on a 300 x 200 x 100 mm mailer box.”
What you can make
| Soda Can | 15 sizes |
|---|---|
| Pouch | 14 sizes |
| Paper Cup | 3 sizes |
| Paper Bag | 10 sizes |
| Mailer Box | 4 sizes, or a custom size |
| Shipping Box | 4 sizes, or a custom size |
| Paper Cup Clear | 3 sizes |
| Ice Cream Cup | 2 sizes |
| Paper Tube | 6 sizes |
| Label | 5 sizes, or a custom size |
The 3D preview in the chat covers cups, cans and boxes; other formats open in the Packaroo editor.
What the connection allows
It can
- Read packaging sizes, templates and specs
- Copy artwork you point it at into your Packaroo storage
- Save new designs to your dashboard
- List your own projects and artwork
It cannot
- Change or delete a project you already have
- See anybody else’s account
- Order anything or spend money
- Export a Spec Pack
To disconnect, open Packaroo, then Settings, Connected apps, and press Disconnect. It stops working immediately.
If something is not right
- It says it is not connected, or asks me to sign in again
- Open app.packaroo.design and sign in there, then remove and re-add the connector.
- It will not load my artwork
- It loads images only from Packaroo itself or from Higgsfield. For anything else, including a file on your computer, ask for an upload link.
- It keeps asking permission for every step
- That is the chat app, not Packaroo. Choose “Always allow” for the Packaroo tools.
- A design link opens a blank product
- The link was probably cut short when it was copied. Ask for it again and copy the whole address.
